she is 83 years old and limited mobility for 20 years and just 4 years ago total bedridden and with pain control measures in place and only 1 kidney. No diabetes or cancer,labs normal.

      If her labs are normal she is probably healthy under the circumstances. What I mean by that is she may be bedridden and such but she isnt showing any signs of infection. That means her kidney must be functioning very well and her pain control is doing what it is supposed to be doing. In that case, I would have to say her prognosis is probably very good. However, at 83 years old, anything can happen. I would say she probably has a fighting chance, but age is a factor. I’ve worked with several bedridden patients who, other than the fact that they are bedridden, are very healthy.
