My mum has osteoporosis in the hip, are you supposed to rest or what?

Should she just have th hip replacement??

      If she is that painful then she probably needs the Hip Replacement. As far as activity goes, that is up to her. Whatever makes her feel the best. It’s not like a soft tissue injury that keeping it moving makes it feel better. In your Mom’s case the bone itself is deteriorating.
      Pain medications and anti-inflamatory meds are her friend - “Better living through modern chemistry)
